Images of Research 2024

Winners announced as part of the Research Staff Conference: 4th December 2024.
The Research Staff Association Steering Committee is pleased to announce the 2024 Images of Research Competition. This is a fantastic opportunity to creatively convey and promote your research work through an engaging and thought-provoking image.
Images will be displayed and shared as part of the Research Staff Conference to showcase the outstanding research work that is being undertaken. On the day of the conference, prizes will be awarded for Judges and Public winners and runners up.
Who can enter Images of Research 2024?
Anyone actively conducts or enables research is eligible to submit an image. This includes postgraduate researchers, all staff who research, and any research enablers (such as research technical professionals). Please note, that only research staff will be entered into the judges prize. The public prize is open to all submissions.
What can I submit?
You can submit any image that conveys or represents your research that you own the rights to. Please see the application form for more details. Please note, the image needs to be submitted digitally.
How do I submit an image?
To enter please complete the Images of Research 2024 Application Form by the deadline of 4th November 2024 and submit, together with your image, to Researcher@liverpool.ac.uk with the subject title <Images of Research 2024 submission>.
All images will be published on this webpage from 12th November 2024, promoted via social media, and displayed during the Research Staff Conference on 4th December.
What can I win?
Judges prize: A selection of judges from the Research Staff Association and speakers from the Research Staff Conference will assess the images for their overall impact and how easy the description is to understand for a non-specialist audience. The winner and runner-up will both receive a certificate and prize.
Public prize: The images (with descriptions) will be open to a public vote from 13th November to 4th December 2024. The winner and runner-up of this vote will both receive a certificate and prize.
