Professional Activities

Most of my external engagement takes the form of delivering public lectures to interested groups. In the past I have spoken to organizations such as the Tom and Liam O'Flaherty Society in Galway; the Kildare Public Library in Maynooth; the Bluecoat Arts Centre, Liverpool; the John McGahern Seminar, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim; the W. B. Yeats Summer School, Sligo; and the William Allingham Festival, Ballyshannon.

I am a member of the editorial board at Liverpool University Press.

I served as external examiner for the MA in Anglo-Irish Literature at UCD in 2017 for a 3 year period and am currently external examiner for the MPhil in Irish Writing at Trinity College Dublin.
