Feedback from participants from 2024 included :

“I enjoyed the session immensely. It had the right mix of instruction and practical. It was also a great vehicle for hearing about (and understanding!) other people's research”

“I work across the road but was oblivious to the work that goes on here. It has encouraged me to do more of these kinds of tours, to find out what else is going on around campus.  From a sustainability perspective it is really good to learn where the energy on campus really comes from, there is a drive to work more sustainability and this is part of understanding where our work practices can make the most difference.”

“These series are a great platform for engagement, networking, and skill enhancement.”

“Having joined the university in April, this is my first year attending Making the Impact Series, and I can safely say that it has been an amazing experience, with several insightful sessions. The sessions are a mix of online-offline setting making it really easy to attend without having to commute. There is information relevant for academics at various stages of their career ranging from research collaboration to writing for different publications to discussing the impact of AI. Its contemporariness makes it interesting. ”

"[I will] be more strategic in my relationships with industry partners, ensuring that I am meeting their needs, as a result of attending."

“It provided me and my practice with a robust framework that has crystalised what I learnt organically but couldn't articulate so clearly. This enables me to evaluate industry partnerships and bridge the cultural gaps better. I have shared my learning with colleagues.”
