Institute of Popular Music Launches New Podcast

The Institute of Popular Music, part of the School of the Arts, has launched a brand new podcast. In this pilot episode, University of Liverpool's academics discuss the Institute's archive. In particular the collection of Robert Pring-Mill which features sound recordings, posters, albums and ephemera surrounding politically committed songs from Chile by artists including Víctor Jara and Violeta Parra.

Chris’ research explores the evolution and effects of viking endeavour across western mainland Europe, and examines how these activities were remembered and reinterpreted in the centuries to follow.
