Researcher in Focus: Professor Sandra Walklate
Meet Professor Sandra Walklate, the University of Liverpool's Eleanor Rathbone Chair of Sociology and recently elected President of the British Criminology Society and learn more about her research, including into violence against women and improving policy and practitioner responses to such violence.

City, Psychology, Place: An Urban Psychology Summit
The Humanities & Social Sciences Research Theme of Sustainable Cities is led by the Heseltine Institute of Public Policy, Practice and Place. In June 2019 they hosted the 'City, Psychology, Place' urban psychology summit examining the interaction of urban life and mental health.

Meet this month's researcher in focus, Professor Mike Gordon, Professor of Constitutional Law in the Liverpool Law School. His main research area is UK constitutional law, theory, and reform, with a particular focus on the role of Parliament in the constitution.

Archaeology, Classics & Egyptology Take Part In The Festival of Archaeology 2019
This July ACE will be taking part in the annual Festival of Archaeology coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology. The aim of the national festival is to showcase the best of British archaeology, which represents a great opportunity for the public to get engaged with archaeological projects taking place in the Department. A range of events will be taking place between the 13th and 28th July, to share some of our exciting research, with a wider audience.
