Each session is focused on helping you learn about or improve a specific element. You can choose sessions that you think will benefit you most without having to commit to a longer course.
Classes are open to all students and staff across the University.
Each semester a range of varied topics is offered, including themes such as:
- Writing at University
- Critical Thinking
- Targeted Listening
- Speaking at University
- British Cultural Studies
- Pronunciation.
What to expect
Our classes are interactive and will typically include the following activities:
- Thinking critically about sources
- Participating in a discussion
- Following academic conventions
- Asking useful questions to a tutor
- Writing sentences or a short paragraph.
