Breaking down barriers

Equality+ (EQ+) is an inclusion program designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds* by providing tailored career guidance and opportunities. Our mission is to create a truly equitable environment where every student has the resources and support to thrive, regardless of the barriers they may face.

Who is EQ+ for? At the University of Liverpool's Careers and Employability Service, we support students facing extra challenges in reaching their career goals. Research shows that students from certain groups often experience barriers to success. The EQ+ program was created to help break down these obstacles and ensure equal opportunities for all students to reach their potential.

What does EQ+ offer? EQ+ connects students with employers who prioritize Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). It celebrates inclusivity through the Equality+ Awards, recognizing students who promote positive change. The program provides personalized career advice from organizations focused on equity, and offers student-led career support at the Career Studio, guided by career experts
