2024 Alumni Awards

We are innovators. We are originators. We are alumni.

We're celebrating our 2024 Alumni Award winners, including TV doctor Dr Amir Khan, composer Felix Hagan and social entrepreneur Lucky Ali. You can see a full list of winners here.

Nominations

Alumni can be nominated by friends, family, staff, colleagues, or even themselves! If you would like to nominate a Liverpool alumna or alumnus, please fill in the form and tell us why your nominee deserves to win an alumni award.

Nominations are not based on specific categories, but on the contribution that the nominee has made in their chosen field. These may include, but are not exclusive to:

  • Success in business
  • Academic or research success
  • Contributions to the arts or creative industries
  • Personal or professional success
  • Achievements in sport
  • Charitable work or contributions
  • Contributions to the local, national or international community
  • Contributions to the University of Liverpool
  • Contributions to the city of Liverpool.

When completing your nomination form, please be as thorough as possible, giving your reasons as to why your nominee should win an alumni award. Individuals may make multiple nominations for different people, if they wish.

Nominations for the 2024 Alumni Awards are now closed and we are unable to accept any late entries. We anticipate that nominations for the 2025 Awards will open in September 2024. Please check back for details.

Eligibility

All nominees must be an alumna or alumnus of the University of Liverpool. It does not matter where you studied, it may have been at the Liverpool campus, at Leahurst, in the London campus, XJTLU, Singapore or online.

Those nominated who have graduated since 2014 will be entered into the 'Recent Graduates' awards. Up to 10 recent graduates will be awarded.

Please note that alumni can only win one Alumni Award and nominations for previous Alumni Awards winners will not be considered.

Our annual Alumni Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the many and varied achievements of our global alumni community. Alumni are the University’s greatest asset, and I am extremely proud to be Vice-Chancellor at the University where so many of you started your journey. The Alumni Awards are our way of saying ‘thank you’ for being such wonderful ambassadors for our University as well as the communities and professions you represent.

Professor Tim Jones Vice-Chancellor
