Current students

We take your safety as a resident in student halls  seriously. You might be aware there have been recent changes to Fire Safety Regulations for multi-story buildings which include many student accommodation properties in the UK. In 2024/25 there will be a schedule of fire safety improvement works conducted throughout our halls of residence, focusing on updating fire doors and other fire safety aspects in communal areas including lift lobbies, corridors and kitchens. You will receive more information from your Halls Team about when this work is due at your hall, however we expect minimal disruption to you as our residents.

Don't worry - our buildings and systems already meet all safety requirements, this is just part of our ongoing efforts to keep our accommodation in top condition.

We want all of our students to enjoy their time with us. To ensure your safety and security, we have in place certain policies and procedures that residents should be aware of.

Due to the diverse nature of our halls, each has produced a specific document, detailing things such as fire evacuation procedures and staff contact details.
